All Blacks

“Are there things you miss about not living in Europe?” is a frequent question. Yes, there is one thing. Watching Rugby on  TV.  Coming up are a series of International matches between the Home Nations, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England against a whole slew of great teams. These include the All Blacks, Fiji, Samoa, South Africa, Australia, Argentina. It a feast fit for a king. Will I miss it  – no way. Enter the Kezar.

The Kezar stadium was once the main sports facility in SF.

This bar is on Stanyan about 5 mins walk from the house. The Kezar stadium was buit in the 20s and was huge. It was the home of the Oakland Raiders and the 49 ers. Downsized in 1989 it is used for other stuff.  Read more here:

The bar has lived through all this. What better place to watch rugby?

They have it covered

Notice the program on Saturday 6th. This is gluttony. Speaking of which – breakfast at 7:30 – eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash browns, english muffin with Beer.
